Strategy Portfolio Analyst

Position Overview

The Strategy Portfolio Analyst supports the coordination and alignment of the product groups portfolio evaluation. This role will be an integral part of Visteon’s product portfolio assessment process and, in addition, will be an integral part of the development on a global Visteon technology road map for automotive cockpit of the future and electric vehicle portfolio.

How will you spend your days

• Support the analysis of current state and future state of Visteon’s product portfolio roadmaps.
• Lead analysis of product line ecosystems, identify competitors and partners
• Market research acquisition and analysis for global initiatives and product management teams
• Monitor current economic and automotive industry indicators
• Collaborate with advanced technology & innovation team in identifying possible impacts on future product strategy & technology trends.
• Identify technology sign posts and market drivers
• Support senior management on the preparation of the strategy material for Quarterly Reviews, Board Meetings and Executive Reviews as needed.
• Support the studies and investigations of relevant System Level product opportunities & market trends with respect to the cockpit of the future growth areas.
• Monitor and update the respective action plans for the identified field of actions.
• Use the strategy process as an evaluation to determine Visteon’s opportunities and strategy into new components.
• Support the development of Visteon’s strategic position for Corporate R&D projects (Technical USP, key technologies, and relevant Business)
• Help identify gaps and search for potential partners to close the desired gaps (Product, Technology Competence)
• Lead with 3rd parties or internal departments Competitor Intelligence (CI) and Market Intelligence (MI) Studies
• Support sales in the business development efforts during project acquisitions in all aspects related to product functions and new technologies.
• Ensure support of the growing business to market intelligence and data analysis
• Serve as global interface for regional product management teams
• Maintain a complete understanding of Visteon’s existing products portfolio and support technology messaging
• Maintain awareness of Visteon Corporate technology needs, using these to search for technologies of relevance.
• Update reports to support Corporate R&D strategy.
• Develop strategic relationships with key technical representatives at the OEMs.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum education and work experience required

• At least 1 year experience in technical, sales and business development preferably in the product or R&D segment of the automotive industry.
• Technical aptitude to understand the global automotive engineering product portfolio.
• Knowledgeable on competitive force and industry structure analysis
• Knowledgeable about market research studies (including quantitative and qualitative analysis), business model generation, value proposition design and on testing business ideas

Special Knowledge / Skills

• Excellent organizational skills with an understanding of stage gate development processes
• Excellent presentation, communication, influencing, project planning and negotiation skills
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• Automotive industry experience, including but not limited to; competitive intelligence, program management, brand management, customer research, forecasting, strategic planning, quality, vehicle evaluation
• Expert level in PowerPoint and comfortable with Excel, and Access
